Maine’s first Chick-fil-A flocks to Bangor with 80 new jobs
Chick-fil-A will open its first restaurant in Maine at 605 Stillwater Ave. in Bangor on Nov. 3, bringing 80 new jobs and the chance for 100 adults to win free Chick-fil-A for a year after completing an interactive service road trip on Nov. 2.
Reflecting Chick-fil-A Bangor Franchise Owner Todd Shultz’s desire to have a positive impact on the local community, the grand opening celebration will kick off Wednesday morning, Nov. 2, when the first 100 eligible adults to register at the restaurant will board buses for a six-hour service road trip throughout Bangor. The event will culminate with a two-hour block party in the restaurant parking lot and the awarding of free Chick-fil-A for a year to the participants who successfully completed the road trip.
Registration begins at 6 a.m. on Nov. 2 and continues through 8:45 a.m. or until 100 participants arrive, whichever comes first. If there are more than 100 people in line at 6 a.m., a raffle will be held to determine the official First 100 participants. The community promotion is open to people living in specific zip codes surrounding the restaurant. Prizes will be awarded around 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2.
