Acme Monaco bracing for expansion in Presque Isle
PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Orthodontics appliance maker Acme Monaco is expanding its operations in Presque Isle. The company is investing $3 million in the expansion, which will create 23 jobs.
Acme Monaco plans to consolidate its two Presque Isle facilities into a single, 16,000-square-foot building. The firm, which is based in New Britain, Connecticut, is one of the world’s largest orthodontic appliance manufacturers, makes a wide variety of orthodontic springs, wires, stampings, fourslide parts and more.
Company officials hope to have grant funding in place by the end of the month and the new facility in operation by fall of 2016.
